We offer Alteration services for UNIQLO products at all UNIQLO stores nationwide. 
Customers can request alteration any time after purchase with no time limit.  

Notes:
Some types of pants may not be eligible for alteration. 
Alteration is not available for non-UNIQLO products.

Types & Fees of Alteration

Alteration is free of charge and available any time after purchase. 

There are three types of pant-leg alterations.

1. Normal stitch: 
A standard method that uses single stitching on both the interior and exterior. 
Depending on the length hemmed, traces of removed stitching may remain. 
In addition, distressed items will lose the distress on the part that is hemmed. 

2. Blind stitch:
Nearly invisible stitching for a neat look. 

3. Cut-Off stitch (No Stitching) : Available only Online Store. 
An alteration created by cutting the pants to the selected inseam without folding. 
This provides unique fraying that may continue to fray after washing and wearing. 
Please trim the frayed threads to your liking. 
Cut-off finish is available only for certain jeans styles.  


※Notes: 

  • Alteration type may vary depending on the product. 
  • For discontinued items, thread color may differ from the original. Staff will inform you before proceeding. 
  • If alteration cannot be done due to fabric characteristics (e.g., risk of distortion) staff will notify you before proceeding.    

 

Items Needed for Alteration Service
  • Receipt is not required, but the pants must be identified as UNIQLO products.
  • Pants purchased from UNIQLO stores overseas are also eligible for alteration. 

Required Time for Alteration

Completion time may vary depending on store workload and service hours. 
Please check with the store staff for an estimated completion time.

Items that have been hemmed cannot be exchanged or returned.

    A. Yes, you can bring pants purchased online to any store for alteration.

    A. Yes, eligible items can be re-altered free of charge any time after purchase. 
    Note: Desired length may expose stitching or may not be possible in some cases.

  • Q. Do you offer repair services?

  • Q. Do you offer resizing or sleeve shortening?

    A. Currently, we do not offer resizing or sleeve shortening services.

  • Q. Can you add extra holes to belts?

    A. Yes, this service is available in-store. 
    However, it depends on the belt’s design and material.
